Encouraging School students in Norwich to get creative using poetry, inspired by the city they love!

The Norwich 2040 LCEP are excited to be announcing our next project: Postcard Poems. School students across Norfolk and Norwich are being invited to celebrate Norwich using bite size poetry. You will be able to find the poems exhibited across Norwich and online as part of the Young Norfolk Arts Festival this July, keep following #PostcardPoems for regular updates.

If your organisation or school is interested in being involved please email for more details

The Norwich 2040 Local Cultural Education Partnership is inviting schools and education settings from across Norwich and the surrounding areas to be part of an exciting collaborative project, which aims to enable every child and young person in our city to take part in a shared creative project. The partnership will support schools and their students to create small figurines that capture how they are feeling as we come back together as a community. The activity has been inspired by artist Antony Gormley and his ‘Field’ installations, and developed by Rebecca Mizon at Ormiston Victory Academy.

The exhibition was launched as part of the Young Norfolk Arts Festival in 2021, with more figurines added at the end of the year. Find out more
